Our Story

Family roots. Two worlds. One vision.

Two Perspectives, One Homeland

Mihikopoa was founded by cousins Colin and Adam — two perspectives joined by a shared homeland. Colin, raised in Germany, and Adam, raised in Tanzania. Their bond grew across continents, through countless safaris and family gatherings under African skies.

We grew up on different continents, but Tanzania was always our meeting place. What began as family visits and countless safaris became a vision: to show travelers the Tanzania we know — personal, grounded, unforgettable.

Together, we saw how travelers were often missing the real Tanzania—filtered through agencies and staged experiences. Mihikopoa was created to change that, bringing travelers face to face with the country's true rhythm, guided by locals who live it every day.

What started as a dream between family members has become a collection of carefully crafted journeys—shaped by the places we grew up in, the people we know, and the stories we want to share with respect and care.

What We Believe

We believe luxury is found in space, time, and sincerity. Each journey should feel natural, respectful to people and land, and deeply personal.

At Mihikopoa, authenticity is not a marketing term—it is the foundation. We work directly with local hosts and guides, shaping each day around what you hope to see and how you want to feel.

Comfort matters, but so does presence: time to notice small details, to listen, to connect. We design with restraint, avoiding excess and spectacle, favoring depth and quiet quality instead.

Every itinerary is handcrafted by people who call Tanzania home, balancing the wild with ease, culture with respect, and refined comfort with genuine warmth.

This is how journeys become memories—thoughtful, honest, and true.
